With the theme ‘Yokoso Nippon – a cordial welcome to Japan!’ a diversified gourmet week with more than 40 different and enjoyable events awaits epicures, and this year nine Japanese guest master chefs will play the main part.
Until Friday evening in the Upper Engadine, the Japanese star chefs Hisato Nakahigashi, Masayasu Yonemura, Hiroki Yoshitake, Kei Kobayashi, Keisuke Matsushima, Tohru Nakamura, Hideki Matsuhisa and Nobu Matsuhisa as well as head sushi chef Akifumi Sakagami, will guarantee Far Eastern delights with their individual culinary skills. All the guest master chefs see themselves as ambassadors of authentic Japanese cuisine, which has been declared an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. Masayasu Yonemura, star chef from Kyoto and a guest of chef de cuisine Fabrizio Zanetti at the Suvretta House, St. Moritz.
